		<description>Are you aware that

1. The Triangle development as it stands will lead to a projected additional 8,000 people
in the area on a daily basis, many of whom will drive.

2. The current plan for Jacka Boulevard includes:
a. The double door entrance to the Triangle shopping centre car park is on Jacka
Boulevard approximately opposite the Stoke House.
b. The face of the development on Jacka Boulevard is a bank of shops that will replace
the current grassy slopes leading to the Upper Esplanade.
c. A large `world class&#039; 30 car taxi rank is planned for in front of these shops.
d. The proposed bike lanes are positioned between parked cars and the outer traffic lane.
e. There will be a widened median strip that allows a short turning lane from Jacka Blvd
into the car park, across the bike lane, for cars traveling from Brighton.
f. Cars will be entering and exiting the car park, and taxis will be leaving across the
proposed bike lane.
g. The current very busy two car lanes in each direction will remain.

I think the the greatly increased car and pedestrian traffic, as well as the location of the car park entrance and large taxi rank is not good for cyclist safety.
